Welcome to MCC Medical Clinic

Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to any adult (18 years or older) without heath care coverage.

About The MCC Medical Clinic

The core mission of the Muslim Community Center (MCC) is to serve the community. Medical Clinic is one facet of this mission. MCC Medical Clinic’s mission is to provide compassionate and high quality medical care to uninsured, low income adult residents of Maryland regardless of race, religion, ethinicity, or national origin.

In the early 1990s, the MCC initiated the project to provide basic medical care to the un-insured segment of our community. Dr. Asif Qadri chaired the Committee and took to this project with exemplary dedication and devotion. The clinic opened its door on June 14, 2003 with the commitment to provide high quality basic healthcare services to the uninsured population of age 18 or above of our community. Muslim Community Center (MCC) provided the initial funding, clinic space, and matching funds for the grants as needed.

MCC also provides direct financial aid from the charitable funds entrusted to it by its members, to those patients who are unable to pay for the diagnostic tests and medicines needed for their treatment.

Leaders of the MCC Clinic have assembled a remarkable group of volunteer physicians and staff who not only share their vision, dedication and commitment but also donate their expertise and personal funds to this noble cause. This wonderful team has transformed a humble initiative into a model which is inspiring other faith based groups to emulate. With the added enthusiasm and energy of new volunteers, the Clinic has dramatically increased its ability to deliver health care services to the uninsured.

The MCC Clinic, with the help of its 36 Board certified volunteer physicians has provided care to 1684 patients and registered  over 4686 visits in year 2008. This numbers continues to grow steadily. MCC Clinic is truly privileged to rely upon an exemplary corps of more than 75 volunteers and 7 full time staff members who handle the Clinic's administrative tasks, conduct community outreach, coordinate public relations and fundraising.

MCC Clinic's expansion and sustainability is made possible by generous financial and technical support from the Primary Care Coalition, an agency funded by the Montgomery County Government to provide care to 80,000 uninsured, low-income residents of the Montgomery County.

Effective January 1, 2010 patients will be requested a small copay per visit depending on income and number of dependents.
